New 4-Way Sideloader: the safe and economical solution for long loads

OMG has unveiled the upgraded version of the B1 Series 4-way sideloader, designed for transporting and storing long and bulky loads.
The OMG|Fiora, range, specialising in the handling of long and bulky loads, now includes a new version of the 4-way B1 Series. This new model, renewed in some of its parts, offers an economical, safe and easy-to-maintain solution for companies that need to handle materials such as aluminium profiles, plexiglass and wood panels, or window frames. In its standard version, the B1 lateral has a load capacity of 1,500/2,500 kg (up to 3,500 kg in the B2 version), with customisable shelves depending on the size of the load and working aisles.
The new version of the B1 Series sideloader features significant improvements in terms of ergonomics, safety and ease of maintenance. The cab has been lengthened by 5 cm, offering a more comfortable seat and more legroom. The dashboard has been revised, and the reduced steering dimensions increase comfort for operators.
On the safety front, a new cabin locking system has been introduced which, in the event of a tip-over, prevents the driver from being thrown out of the machine and crushed. This system solves a problem common throughout the forklift world that sometimes sees the operator, for convenience, buckle the belt behind himself, bypassing its protection. Italian legislation itself has confirmed that in activities that require frequent descents from the machine, such as picking, the belt is not an adequate restraint system. The cab is also fitted with glass or grids that prevent the driver from leaning out of the machine, preventing accidents when handling the mast.
The bodywork has been optimised to cover the electrical systems so as to provide greater protection from water, improving reliability even when used outdoors. The more rational arrangement of wiring and components, such as the removable fuel tank, also facilitates access and maintenance, thereby reducing costs.
The new version retains the excellent features and performance of the previous model, ensuring reliability and efficiency. The balanced tilting frame, divided into two parts, improves stability on uneven floors. Three-phase AC motors and Open Can-Bus electronics continue to reduce battery consumption and costs. The side-guided cab offers optimal visibility during handling, and wheels can be chosen from vulkollan or cushion tyres, depending on requirements.
In conclusion, the new version of the OMG|Fiora B1 Series sideloader is an economical, highly flexible and easy-to-maintain option for transporting and storing long and bulky materials. Its robustness, safety and reliability make it an excellent choice for companies looking for a practical and efficient solution for their warehouse management.
