History

Established in 1968 as a specialised mechanical fabrication contractor, in the course of just 10 years we grew to industrial dimensions.

In 1983 we started producing lift trucks for industrial handling needs under the name OMG - Officine Meccaniche Gonzaga – with the objective of gradually establishing a distributed sales and aftersales network which at the present time has expanded beyond the local context to assume a global dimension.




In September 2004 OMG became involved in a significant joint venture with Milan based  ERREBI S.p.A.

A constantly changing market, continued manufacturer globalisation, more demanding end users and our persistent desire to produce better, more competitive products has resulted in the creation of this new group. A group that combines 30 years of manufacturing experience with a leading light in the world of rental.


   During 2005 the newly created group made the following acquisitions:

- In February Gonzaga Colour Srl was acquired. This is a local based business specialising in painting of industrial equipment. impianto Thanks to the latest automated equipment the company can reduce OMG’s painting time and improve our delivery lead times.

- In March we acquired ACD Handling, our Belgian dealer, a well-known and successful dealer in the Benelux area.


- Earlier this year we also opened our French office. With its head office near Paris and the professional team we have based there, OMG is ideally situated to react to the demands of the French market.
